Wayfinding Coach · Founder, Wayward Purpose · ICF ACC · Transitioning Service Member
I work with people who don't know anymore.
People who once trusted themselves to make decisions, carry responsibility, and find their way. But somewhere along the way became disconnected from themselves, the people they love, or the life they actually want.
They're still showing up. Still handling things. But questions that once felt manageable have become harder to answer.
What do I want now? Can I trust myself? Where do I go from here?
Those are the questions I'm building Wayward Purpose around.
For nearly twenty years, I've worked across the Air Force, Space Force, joint force, and allied environments. I've spent much of that time watching people and systems operate under pressure.
That experience keeps bringing me back to the people inside those systems. What helps someone remain whole while carrying responsibility? What happens when their sense of duty pulls them away from themselves? And how do they find their way back?
As I transition from military service, these questions are personal, too. I'm figuring out Life 2.0: what to carry forward, what to put down, and what I want to build next.
Wayward Purpose is part of my answer.
Sometimes you know something needs to change before you know what comes next.
I call the work I'm moving into wayfinding coaching. It's space to pay attention to where you are, make sense of what matters, and begin choosing a direction you can call your own.
Through this work, I'm exploring how we restore three things that can become harder to hold onto when we lose our way:
Having a real say in your life and room to decide what comes next.
Learning to hear your own judgment and act on it again.
Feeling closer to yourself, the people you care about, and the life you want to participate in.
That's what Restore Togetherness means to me. It includes how we live with other people, and how we live with ourselves.
My work spans coaching, writing, teaching, and research. I keep coming back to self-trust, moral injury, leadership, conflict analysis, resolution, and organizational culture.
I'm increasingly interested in what this means for leaders and organizations.
How do we recognize when someone has lost their way? What might their behavior be telling us? How do we support them while leaving them room to choose?
And a question I think we need to sit with:
Did this person arrive this way, or did our environment help create it?
These questions shape what I write, what I study, and the conversations I want to have.
I'm an ICF Associate Certified Coach, founder of Wayward Purpose, and a transitioning service member figuring out what comes next alongside everyone else.
If you're in a season of "I don't know anymore," you're welcome here. You don't need a finished explanation of how you got here to start a conversation.
Find your way again. Restore Togetherness.
